Idaho Falls man arrested for stealing from Rexburg apartments

The Rexburg Police Department has arrested 23-year-old Scott Seward-Smith of Idaho Falls on burglary charges in connection to thefts from Rexburg apartments.

Seward-Smith was arrested Monday afternoon and was booked into the Madison County Jail.

According to the police report Seward-Smith stole an Apple Macbook from a Rexburg apartment at 667 South 2nd East on October 24, 2015. Several other thefts happened around the same time period and Seward-Smith is a suspect in those cases as well.

Formal charges for the case are still being prepared by the prosecutor at this time.
