Water main break quickly repaired

Several businesses in an area of 17th Street west of Jennie Lee Drive area being affected by a water main break Monday morning. City crews had restored water service to most of the area by about 8:45 a.m.

Among the businesses affected were DL Evans Bank, Starbucks, Les Schwab, and Taco Bell.

East bound traffic was reduced for a time to one lane in the center turn lane while repair crews were on the scene.

The break was located near fiber optic ducts near the water main.
