Christofferson sentenced to jail for vehicular manslaughter

Joanne Christofferson has been sentenced to jail for 5 years fixed and 5 years indeterminate for vehicular manslaughter.

Christofferson appeared in court Friday morning.Christofferson was found guilty of vehicular manslaughter in the death of Staci Shryock, 44, in a crash on US Highway 30 that occurred in Pocatello on May 29, 2015.

Idaho State Police said Christofferson was traveling eastbound on the highway in a 1997 Mazda Protege, when she drifted into the westbound lane of travel, colliding with a 2005 Harley Davidson driven by Shryock, who was traveling westbound.
