Minor earthquake hits near Jackson

A minor earthquake struck near Jackson Wyoming, Friday afternoon.

TheUnited States Geological Survey reports a magnitude 4.1 quake hit around 4 p.m.

The quake was centered about 18 miles east of the Town of Jackson, in the Gros Ventre Range.

The quake’s epicenter was about 3 miles deep.
