Two firefighters injured while putting out structure fire

Two Jackson Hole Firefighters were injured Friday during fire suppression efforts at a structure fire in Wilson, Wyoming.

At 7:07 this morning, emergency crews responded to 3700 Tucker Ranch Road for a structure fire in a home under construction.

First responders to the fire found a two story unoccupied home on fire with smoke and fire showing. Additional units from Jackson Hole Fire/EMS (JHFEMS), the Teton Village Fire District, and the Teton County Sheriff’s Department arrived soon after.

Two firefighters were injured during the suppression efforts. Both were transported by JHFEMS ambulances to St. John’s Medical Center and were subsequently treated and released.

The structure sustained heavy fire damage to approximately 15% of the structure with associated smoke damage throughout the entire structure.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
