Police investigating armed robbery at an Idaho Falls gas station

Update: Police have released the picture of the suspect who robbed the Phillips 66 Gas Station Saturday morning in Idaho Falls.

A second armed robbery happened at the Wells Fargo on 17th Street a couple hours later. Police haven’t released too many details on it yet, or if it’s related to the robbery at the gas station.

Police are still investigating both incidents.Anyone with information about this robbery should contact the IFPD at 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.

Original story: Idaho Falls Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Saturday morning at the Phillips 66 Gas Station at the corner of 17th and Rollandet.

According to police, the store clerk told officers a white male came into the store, picked up a soda and candy and brought it to the counter. As the clerk rang up the items, the suspect pulled a knife and demanded the money from the cash register. The store clerk complied. Police said the suspect took the money, left the store and fled south on Rollandet.

The clerk was the only person in the store at the time of the robbery.

This robbery is under investigation.
