Man points gun at Minivan
Bingham County Sheriff’s deputies are trying to find out why a man was pointing a gun at van Monday morning.
Eugene R. Denton, 44, of Bingham County was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Sheriff Craig Rowland said the man was pointing a gun at a blue minivan on the side of the road.
It happened at 600 West 7 North just before 10 a.m.
When deputies arrived, Denton was ordered to put the gun down, which he did.
No one was in the van when officers arrived but was told someone was inside earlier.
Deputies are still investigating and trying to determine why the man was upset. They’re not sure if the man knew the people in the van.
Deputies were still talking with the man Monday afternoon.
