BYU-Idaho marks largest spring semester enrollment

Brigham Young University-Idaho reports a total Spring Semester 2016 campus enrollment of 14,694 students. That is an increase of 6.9 percent over last spring’s campus enrollment of 13,742.

The university said enrollment in online courses and degree programs is also growing. BYU-Idaho is serving more students off-campus than those on-campus. 20,711 students were registered online for spring semester, an increase of 28.1 percent over the same time last year.

This semester the campus student body consists of 7,283 male students and 7,411 female students, (49.6 percent and 50.4 percent respectively). The number of married students is 3,598, comprising 24.5 percent of the total campus student population. On-campus students who have served full-time missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints number 8,295 (56.5 percent).
