Man arrested for burglary and grand theft

Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan Knudsen,33, Sunday on felony charges of Burglary and Grand Theft of a Financial Transaction Card. Knudsen was also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving without privileges.

According to reports, a man returned to his home at around 2:35 a.m. in the vicinity of 129th North and 55th East and discovered a man in his garage. The victim said he had been changing irrigation water in a field near his home. He told officers he recognized the man as Knudsen. He told police that Knudsen ran inside the home, then crawled out of a basement window and ran into a nearby field.

The homeowner said he found Knudsen’s vehicle nearby and saw him leave the area.

An Idaho Falls Policeman and a Sheriff’s Deputy located Knudsen driving near Garfield and Wabash. He was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

Deputies said Knudsen was in possession of credit cards belonging to the homeowner and a small amount of marijuana.
