Boat accident survivor meets rescuers

Less than two weeks ago, a boat flipped over in the Snake River. One of the two young boys on that boat was in critical condition. Jacob Davy was released from the hospital just days ago.

Thanks to first responders and one man who happened to jump in the water, all those who were involved in the accident are alive today. Sunday, Davey got to meet those who rescued him.

The future for Davey looked bleak when he was pulled from the Snake River. After spending more than a week in the hospital, he is back to himself.

“We were overjoyed,” Angel Terry, Jacob’s grandmother said. “We just couldn’t believe he made such a complete recovery. It’s fantastic.”

Now Jacob has met his heroes.

“All of these lovely men and women are the reason he’s alive today,” Terry said.
