Pocatello man charged with possession and intent to distribute

The Soda Springs Police Department arrested a Pocatello man for possession of methamphetamine.

Danny Ramon Wallace, 37, was arrested after police pulled him over for a traffic infraction and found evidence of drugs.

According to Soda Springs Police Chief Jon Bunderson, a K-9 unit located a controlled substance inside Wallace’s vehicle.

Police found more than two grams of meth, two ski masks and a replica handgun. They also found a kit containing smoking devices.

Wallace is charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Jerome County also currently has a warrant out for Wallace.

At the time of his arrest, Wallace was out on parole for seven previous felonies. Priors included grand theft, burglary and multiple counts of fraud and possession of a financial transaction card.

Wallace is currently being held in the Caribou County jail on a $50,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is set for June 20.
