Healthwest Community Dental awarded $500K in grants

A $500K was given to the Healthwest Community Dental recently, and it’s all to keep high quality dental service going for the community.

Dental Director Marcus Neff says $150K was given by the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. And an extra $350K was awarded from Hersa.

Neff says the money will be used for more dental chairs and to possibly hire more dental staff in the future.

“And then the quality of the proposal we gave them was, we expressed the need that we have, the quality of services we’re able to provide. And so, there were a lot of organizations that applied but we were very fortunate to be picked,” said Neff.

Healthwest just expanded their dental services to the community this year by adding a location in Pocatello.
