Plane makes emergency landing in field during practice flight

Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency plane landing this afternoon.

According to the Sheriff’s office, the pilot of a red bi-wing plane experienced engine problems and had to make an emergency landing in a field. The pilot was able to make a safe landing. There was no damage done to the plane and no one is hurt.

The pilot of the plane was practicing in preparation for the upcoming Legacy Flight Museum air show.

The pilot is getting help with the engine and will be able to take off from the field once repairs are made.
