Litter and vandalism found at Portneuf Wellness Complex

Bannock County officials are urging Portneuf Wellness Complex visitors to be more respectful on complex property after finding trash and acts of vandalism the past couple days.

In a widely-sharedposton the complex’s Facebook page, county officials describes rocks in the landscaping being moved, finding a lot of trash on the beach and seeing things like the waterfall being vandalized.

To make repairs on the property, county funds and resources have to be used.

Therese Marchetti, manager of sales and promotions for the Bannock County Event Center, said it’s all about being respectful of the complex.

“It’s a gift, a $17 million gift from the Portneuf Health Trust to all of us. We just need to keep it up,” Marchetti said.

In case you see any vandalism or have any concerns, you can call the Bannock County Event Center at 208-236-7400 to report it.
