Salmon man killed in crash involving vintage pickup

Gary L. Davis, 68, of Salmon was killed at 12:09 p.m. Monday when his truck rolled on southbound U.S. 93, ten miles north of Carmen in Lemhi County.

Idaho State Police said Davis was driving a 1934 pickup pulling a homemade camp trailer. Davis’ vehicle went off the right shoulder of the highway. They said Davis over-corrected, which brought the vehicle back onto the roadway and off the left shoulder of the road, where it rolled.

Davis died at the scene. The vehicle was not equipped with seat belts.

The crash is still under investigation.
