TSA officer retires after four decades at IDA

The City of Idaho Falls and the TSA recognized an officer for her four-decade long career. Christine Tyacke was honored for her outstanding public service and commitment.

She was presented with plaques, certificates, and cards for her 31 years of service at Idaho Falls Regional Airport.

“It has been wonderful; in fact, it’s been an amazing journey,” said Tyacke.

Before becoming a TSA officer, she worked as a private security contractor for the airport for 17 years, and she experienced all the security changes since 9-11.

“We have a lot more machine technology that helps us screeners do our job much better,” said Tyacke.

Tyacke will be retiring at the end of the month.
