Man arrested for stealing bank deposit from employer

Idaho Falls Police arrested 26-year-old Clayton A. Burton for grand theft after police say he stole a bank deposit worth more than a $1,000 from his employer, the Pretzelmaker.

Burton of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, officers responded to the restaurant, 2300 E. 17th St., in the Grand Teton Mall for a report of a theft around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

The manager discovered Burton had stolen the bank deposit of $1,065 from the store on Friday.

A preliminary hearing on the grand theft charge is set for July 12th.

He was released to pre-trial services.
