“Cool Rain” brings community together with first responders

The Pocatello Fire and Police Department are bringing “Cool Rain” to a park near you in Pocatello this summer.

Thursday afternoon, they were at Raymond Park to talk about bullying, smoke alarms, home-escape planning and more. Fire fighters will be supplying the rain for enjoyment for the kids throughout the hot days from their fire trucks. The event is to bring the community closer with firemen and police.

“Summer rain in the park. It’s our little fun thing for the kids. Get out here on a hot, summer day and run under a fire stream and cool down. Free suckers and badges for all the kids,” said Todd Eagle, Pocatello Fire Dept.

Cool Rain will take place again on July 21st at Alameda Park and August 4th at OK Ward Park at noon.
