Search for DeOrr Kunz begins its second year

One year ago, search and rescue crews were in the Salmon-Challis National Forest looking for missing two year-old Deorr Kunz, Jr.

“We haven’t found a thread,” said Steve Penner, Lemhi County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy.

A lot has happened in the last year.

His parents were named suspects in his disappearance. Last week the Lemhi County Sheriff went on CNN Headline News saying he believes the case is more than likely a homicide.

In March, Texas private investigator Philip Klein claimed the mother knows where DeOrr’s body is.

There’s a lot of conflicting information when it comes to this case.

One thing all investigators can’t figure out is why no one from the town of Leadore remembers seeing baby DeOrr.

Chelsea Brentzel: “Why do you think no one can remember seeing little man?”

The mother’s answers the question tonight at 10:30 p.m. on a Local News 8 Newsline Special.
