Pokemon players urged to avoid fire stations

The Pocatello Fire Department is encouraging gamers to find a different place to hunt Pokemon.

The fire department said Pokemon Go is a great way to encourage people to get outside and get some exercise, but should be done safely.

While some public buildings and facilities have been selected to have Pokemon and Poke Stops, fire stations are busy places with heavy equipment moving in and out at all times of day and night.

Firefighters encourage the public to avoid walking, parking or loitering in front of the bay doors at all five Pocatello fire stations or anywhere where training is being conducted.
