Commissioners agree upon contract for horse stalls

A contract has been agreed upon by the county commissioners for the use of horse stalls at the Bannock County Fairgrounds.

Commissioners say they agree to keep the contract fair by getting all parties to contribute to it. Parties include the commissioners and the horse owners. This comes after the problem of leaving horse stalls empty. Therefore, not bringing income to the fairgrounds or county.

“Today it was a step in the right direction, but I don’t think it should be the end result. We’ll wait until after the election and proceed further. I have confidence in the prosecutor’s office and their civil attorneys that they’re going to try to make a contract that’s fair and equitable for all concerned. If they don’t, we’ll obviously say why we feel differently,” said Robin Dunn, Private Attorney and horse owner.

Commissioners say the contract should be made up by and finished before August 1st.
