District 91 school board narrows high school options

Idaho Falls school board trustees have begun to narrow options for redesigning the district’s high schools.

After meetings this week, the board has decided to explore the idea of replacing Idaho Falls High School with a new facility and redesigning Skyline High School.

District spokesperson Margaret Wimborne said there are some key issues that must be addressed, including the location of a new high school and what to do with the current IFHS building. They are also considering what would be included in the redesign of Skyline High School.

The board will be conducting additional research over the next few weeks or months before any final decisions are made.
