Pilot injured after plane flips in Rexburg

Update 07/28/16 7:45 pm: The Madison Fire Department says the pilot was practicing touch and go landings. During one of the maneuvers the plane lost power, forcing the pilot to make a hard landing and the plane flipped over.

Original Story: The pilot of a small plane suffered minor injures after the plane flipped over after landing.

Captain Randy Lewis with the Rexburg Police Department tells Local News 8/KIDK Eyewitness News the pilot landed at the airport then slid into the grass and flipped over.

What caused the plane to go off the runway is under investigation.
