Chadwick sentenced for sports store burglaries

Jace Chadwick, 20, was sentenced to 1.5 years determinate and 7 years indeterminate on each of four felony counts by 7th District Judge Dane Watkins, Jr. Monday. Each sentence will run concurrent with the other.

Chadwick was charged with two felony counts of burglary and two counts of receiving or possessing stolen property.

Chadwick pleaded guilty to the theft of guns from Cabela’s and Sportsman’s Warehouse in Idaho Falls last March.

As part of the sentence, Chadwick agreed to pay restitution totalling more than $13,000 to both businesses.

He also agreed to waive extradition to Utah on a charge relating to the theft of a motor vehicle in his possession.
