Fort Hall brush fire contained

UPDATE: 8-2-16 9:10 a.m.

Fort Hall Fire Chief Brian Briggs says the Ross Fork fire has been contained.

He credited wild land fire support by the Chubbuck Fire Department and Bureau of Land Management for helping to contain the fire quickly.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Fire crews from Forth Hall, Chubbuck and the BLM are battling a brush fire in the Ross Fork area of the reservation.

According to Forth Hall Emergency Management two dozers have placed a fire line around the fire.

It also says no buildings are in danger and no evacuations are needed.

According to BLM the fire is 45 acres and was fully contained at 9:00 pm Monday.

Crews will monitor the fire through the night and hope to have it out by 8:00 pm Tuesday.
