Update: Two men taken into police custody as part of investigation

Update 4:45 pm: According to an officer from the Idaho Falls Police Department, one of the men taken into police custody was wanted a drug arrest warrant. Officers followed him to the apartment. The suspect entered the apartment through the garage. The officer tells us that the suspect lived at the apartment.

Update 4:15 pm: Two men are now in police custody after they peacefully exited the apartment building surrounded by officers. Police are now entering and searching the apartment.

Original Story: During the course of an Idaho State Police investigation, a man ran inside of an apartment building at Alice Avenue and 15th street and is refusing to come out.

Police have established a perimeter around the building and are waiting for the appropriate search warrants so they can enter the building. Several roads surrounding the area have been closed while the investigation continues.

Details of the investigation are not being released at this time but the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office did say that ISP requested the assistance of their K9 unit.
