Reed’s Dairy expands business to Boise

A business that is a house-hold name in eastern Idaho is making it’s way to the other side of the state.

Reed’s Dairy is expanding its door-to-door milk delivery to Boise. A move that actually saved the company.

“We really were wondering how long we were going to stay in the milk business,” company president Alan Reed said. “We were going to stay in the ice cream business for good, but we just didn’t know about the milk business just because we were losing money on the milk we were sending to another plant. So when this [came] about then we were able to run all that through our own processing plant, which provided us a chance to make some profit on it by shipping it over to Boise.”

Reed’s Dairy hopes to open a store in Boise in Spring 2017.
