Rose interchange hearing planned in Blackfoot

State engineers are planning a project to replace the existing Rose Road bridge over Interstate 15.

The Idaho Transportation Department will hold a public hearing Tuesday, September 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Blackfoot City Hall.

The project will replace the existing bridge over I-15, and update the on and off-ramps.

According to ITD, the existing ramp configuration does not meet current design standards, and replacing the interchange will improve safety and mobility for the community, agriculture and surrounding business.

Construction is expected to start in 2018.
