Man arrested for attempting to steal woman’s purse

Idaho Falls Police arrested a 19-year-old man after police say he tried to steal a woman’s purse.

Isaiah S. DeLoera of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on Monday.

According to reports, officers responded to the 500 block of West Elva for a report of a robbery around 12:22 a.m. The victim told police as she was leaving work she was confronted by a male, later identified as DeLoera, outside.

DeLoera asked her for a cigarette. She said she didn’t have any. DeLoera then grabbed for the woman’s purse. Both struggled over the purse. DeLoera eventually gave up and ran away.
