Detailed Forecast Sep 20, 2016

One more day of warm and mostly sunny conditions thanks to southwesterly flow aloft. A closed low will be digging in across the West tomorrow and then track towards East Idaho by Thursday into Friday before slowly exiting this weekend. Plan on lots of rain for weeks end and snow above 8000 feet.

Tuesday, mostly sunny skies with more southern breezes. Temps will be much warmer with highs climbing into the upper 70’s and mid 80’s. Slight chance of a pop-up shower or storm near the Montana Divide.

Tonight, partly cloudy skies with southwest winds from 10-20mph. Mild temps with lows into the 40’s and 50’s.

Wednesday, still running warm with high into the 70’s but clouds will rapidly be increasing ahead of a major storm system that will be bringing in lots of rain for the end of the week. Chance of rain 40%.

Thursday, overcast skies with rain and heavy downpours possible. Cooler with highs staying steady into the 50’s. Chance of rain 100%.
