Original Story: The Bonneville County Sheriff’s office says a man was found dead Sunday after he apparently fell from a bridge while fishing.

According to Sgt. Bryan Lovell with the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked near the Pine Creek Lodge on Highway 31. When they arrived they found a vehicle parked near the bridge there and a man dead in the creek bed below. Deputies say it appeared the man had fallen from the bridge while fishing.

The fall is about 6 to 7 feet and the creek had only shallow water in it.

The identity of the man is not being released at this time while the sheriff’s office continues to try and contact the family of the man.
