School district discusses new high school’s colors

There was another work session for Bonneville School District board of trustees Wednesday morning. This time they discussed the colors of the new high school.

The board hopes to come to a decision about the color scheme, despite retracting the proposed name. The board still haven’t decided on a mascot either — that will come when the name is chosen. The board also discussed strategy as far as committee members and picking the new name from the 1,800 suggestions they have gathered from the community.

“A key thing is although this renaming, if you will, is causing a little bit of anxiety it is not insurmountable. It is not something that we can’t work through. Our architects are willing to work through with us, and feel like we can still accomplish all our goals — still open on time,” said John Pymm, district director of facilities and operations.

To stay on time, the name, mascot, and colors need to be finalized by Nov. 2.
