Justin Johnson,18, of Ammon was arrested Friday after a traffic accident that hospitalized two women.

Idaho Falls Police said they were called to the crash at around 5 p.m. Friday. According to reports, Johnson was driving a Kia Optima that turned left onto Utah Avenue to head north. Because of a traffic back-up on Utah Avenue, Johnson collided with a motorcycle.

The 45-year-old motorcycle driver from Idaho Falls and her 37-year-old passenger, from Menan, were thrown from the bike. Neither of the women was wearing a helmet. Both were transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. The extent of their injuries and conditions were unknown.
