ISU fall student enrollment down slightly

Idaho State University has released fall enrollment numbers which show the number of students is down .5% from this time last year.

ISU’s total student enrollment headcount for the fall 2016 census day was 13,062. That is 71 students less than last year.

“We’re very pleased to see that our recruitment efforts continue to attract quality students to ISU,” said Dr. Laura Woodworth-Ney, ISU executive vice president and provost. “ISU has implemented a number of robust changes to the way we reach potential students, and our enrollment is evidence of those efforts. We’ll continue to improve the way we recruit and retain students to strategically grow enrollment moving forward.”

Overall, undergraduate enrollment declined by 156 students, down 1.4 percent, while graduate enrollment increased by 85 students, up 4.5 percent. Total Idaho resident enrollment increased by 312 students, up 3.0 percent, to 10,868 students. International enrollment declined by 500 students, down 35.1 percent, to 923 students. Non-resident domestic student enrollment increased 117, up 10.1 percent, to 1,271 students.
