Locals react to third & final Presidential debate

Following the third and final Presidential debate of the 2016 election, Eastern Idaho residents say they have their minds made up.

About 30 people filled a 220 seat theater Wednesday evening to watch the debate.

“I looked at their eyes and HIllary’s eyes were more dilated and Donald Trumps weren’t,” debate watcher Donald Whitaker told KIFI/KIDK. “It makes me question her health. The second thing is it looked like she was always looking at a teleprompter down. She kept looking at the podium and the way the wood is set up, I wouldn’t be surprised if she has a teleprompter.”

Whitaker was one of those 30 people. Edwards Theater would not let our cameras into the actual theater but we were able to talk to those who watched the debate afterward. Many did not want to talk on camera about who they were voting for.

“My thoughts were ya know kind of one sided because I definitely do support a certain candidate and those don’t need to be discussed of course on the news,” another debate watcher, Mike Potter said.

CNN says a poll of voters found 52% of debate watchers believe Democrat Hillary Clinton wonn the debate, 39% put their support behind Republican Donald Trump.

Voters will cast their ballot November 8.
