Detailed Forecast for Oct. 20, 2016

Sunshine and warmer temps will be the trend going into the weekend as a strong ridge of high pressure remains in place over the Intermountain West. However, with a clearing sky overnight lows will drop back into the 20’s. Some patchy freezing fog could be seen in the early morning hours. There will be some stormy weather in Northern Idaho and Montana, with a couple showers spreading into far Northern Central Idaho for Friday and Saturday. Everybody will look for stormy weather entering back into the region by Tuesday. Thursday, Patchy freezing fog during the morning giving way to mostly sunny skies with some passing high clouds and a warming trend. Daytime highs will be into the upper 40’s to upper 50’s. Tonight, some high clouds otherwise mostly clear skies with another round of freezing temps as lows fall back into the 20’s. Some patchy valley fog is also possible. Friday, abundant sunshine with light winds and even warmer temps as highs climb into the 60’s. Saturday, mostly sunny skies and picture perfect conditions for the end of October. Highs into the mid 60’s with light winds.
