Man arrested for Pocatello Albertson’s robbery

A Pocatello man is being held in connection with the armed robbery of Albertson’s grocery store at 330 E. Benton in Pocatello Saturday. According to police, Michael Christopher Alegria, Jr.,49, entered the store at 8:52 a.m. and demanded money from a clerk. He told the clerk he was armed with a gun. He took $265 in cash and ran away on foot. Officers quickly located Alegria at Harrison and Halliday. He was arrested about 20 minutes after the robbery without incident. The stolen money was also recovered. Alegria was being held in the Bannock County Jail on charges of robbery.
