Idaho Agriculture Appreciation Day held at Kingston Plaza

Idaho Agriculture Appreciation Day, also known as AG Fest, kicked off for its first year at Kingston Plaza in Idaho Falls on Saturday.

AG Fest wanted to show appreciation, love, and support for those who work in agriculture in our communities. From dairy work to farming to tractor dealerships, the event was just a small way to say thank you for all the hard work they do.

AG Fest had free food, entertainment and many educational booths. Those who put this together hope AG Fest created a spirit of gratitude toward the huge role agriculture plays in southeast Idaho.

“As a farmer’s daughter, I always had a great appreciation for farming because that’s been my life — watching my dad all growing up,” Idaho AG Fest owner Katrina Jensen said. “I don’t know, aside from myself, how much people realize what goes into putting that food on their table, you know? What goes into planning our food and harvesting our food and the fertilizer companies and the gas companies to keep the equipment running,”
