Pranks keep Rexburg police busy

Criminal investigation reached new heights in Rexburg at around 10 p.m. Monday, when a police officer spotted two people attempting to climb an outdoor fire escape ladder onto the roof of WalMart.

Further investigation found a group of BYU-Idaho students was already on top of the building. A total of 10 students, all age 18, were cited for trespassing.

There was no explanation for the incident.

Another rooftop investigation was a bit more dangerous.

Police were called to the NorthPoint Apartments parking garage where a number of persons were throwing pumpkins from the top level of the building.

Police contacted the individuals, who admitted throwing 9 pumpkins to the street below. The group was allowed to go free after they cleaned up the mess.
