Four taken to hospital after rollover crash on I-86

Four people were taken to Portneuf Medical Center after a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-86 Monday morning.

Sean Lewis, age 38, of Pocatello, was driving 2006 GMC Canyon pickup east on Interstate 86. Lewis attempted to make a lane change and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the road off the right shoulder and rolled near milepost 55.

Lewis and his three juvenile passengers were transported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello by ground ambulance. Lewis was wearing his seatbelt. The three passengers were not wearing seat belts.

Idaho State Police and surrounding law enforcement agencies dealt with traffic crashes and vehicle slide-offs during most of the morning commute. Idaho State Police troopers handled 6 reportable crashes and assisted 26 motorists that slid off the road.
