Idaho Falls man arrested after being found with counterfeit bills

An Idaho Falls man was arrested Wednesday after he was found to be in possession of counterfeit bills.

Idaho Falls Police arrested 32-year-old Zachary S. Nielson for felony possession of counterfeit bills, an IFPD warrant and providing false information to police. Nielson was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, officers contacted Nielson, who was riding a longboard in the middle of the road, near 12th and Holmes around 1:24 a.m. During the contact, Nielson initially provided a false name. Officers learned his real identity and found he had an active warrant.

After he was placed under arrest, Nielson was found in possession of two counterfeit $20 bills.
