Today, a snowy windy day. Count on a possible 1-3 inches of snow in the valleys and central mountains with 3-8 inches in the eastern and SE highlands. Daytime highs will be in the low 30’s. Winds will also increase with 40 mph gusts at times in the central Snake River Plain around noon. Visibility will be an issue at times while driving due to blowing snow. Use winter driving habits and pack emergency gear in your car just in case.

Tuesday, a much calmer day with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 20’s and 30’s. Possibly a few lingering snow flurries near the ID/WY state line, but they should be generally light.

Wednesday, another storm moves into Idaho but it won’t arrive until the evening. Count on partly cloudy skies with a few snow showers in the evening hours. Highs will be in the 20’s and 30’s with breezy conditions.

Thursday, highs in the low to mid 30s and mostly cloudy skies.
