As we await for our next round of winter weather, expect cold temps to stick around, winds to pickup and snow showers to begin later this morning and afternoon. Periods of snow likely overnight and into Thursday before clearing out late tomorrow night. Some sunshine and drier conditions along with colder temps will be the story as we head into the weekend. Wednesday, scattered snow showers throughout the day with overcast skies. Brisk southwest winds at 10-25mph with a high near 32°. Chance of snow 60%. Light snow accumulations of less than an inch. Tonight, snow likely with some heavy periods of snow at times. Breezy winds from 10-20mph. Tough driving conditions should be expected. Snow accumulations of 1″-3″. Chance of snow 90%. Thursday, A 90 percent chance of snow showers with a cloudy sky. Highs in the Snake River Plain will hit around 30°. West southwest wind around 5-10 mph. New snow accumulation of 1″-2″ possible. Friday, aside from a few morning flurries and clouds, some clearing skies will allow for peeks of sunshine. Highs into the 20’s.
