Pajama donation program underway for the holidays

If you are looking to get in the Christmas spirit, we may have found a way where you can make someone’s holiday a little warmer. The new Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh children’s clothing store is open in the Ammon Town Center.

The store has a special program for the holidays. It’s called the Pajama Program. You can make either a small monetary donation or donate a pair of pajamas and they will deliver them to Club Inc. who also works with The Haven Shelter.

Carter’s received an email recently from a 10-year-old boy.

“He had never received a pair of pajamas before. And this was his first time to have a brand new pair of pajamas and so it was just really a great thing for this little boy,” said Susan Parkhurst, store supervisor. “I have little grandkids of my own and I know how important it is to stay warm and to especially bundle up in the wintertime and how cold it is at night and it is just a wonderful program that we have here.”

They will take your donations through Dec. 31 and they will match it. Carter’s and OshKosh are in the Staples and Target parking lot. It is a newly-opened store that just held its grand opening recently.

This is the seventh year the company has partnered with the Pajama Program.
