Christmas Box Angel candlelight vigil scheduled for children who have died

The death of a child can be devastating. For some, coping comes in the form of support. There is a place in Idaho Falls where those affected by the death of a child can get support every year.

The Christmas Box Angel is designed to commemorate children who have died. The statue is based on a popular book by Richard Paul Evans called “The Christmas Box.” The angel plays a prominent role for the character who has lost a child. Readers have been so touched by the story that 200 memorial statues like it have been built worldwide.

There will be a vigil for those affected by the death of a child at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. It will be at the cemetery on South Yellowstone in Idaho Falls. Attendees are encouraged to bring a candle, some flowers to leave and to dress warm.
