Missing brothers killed in car crash near Preston

Idaho State Police reported two brothers from Bogota, Colombia were killed in a car accident on Highway 36, west of Preston.

According to an ISP news release, the bodies of Jhoan C. Nieto, 30, and William A. Nieto, 26 were found outside of the vehicle they were in. Both Jhoan and William had been reported missing to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Dec 6. They were last heard from on Nov. 30.

ISP said it appears the vehicle was traveling westbound on Highway 36 when it left the road and rolled down a steep embankment. Both were thrown from the car. Neither were wearing a seat belt.

It is unclear who the driver of the vehicle was.
