Police investigate two Boise bank robberies

Two Boise area banks were robbed within minutes of each other Wednesday afternoon. Boise Police are investigating a bank robbery at Overland Road near Five Mile Road. The robbery happened at 3:15 p.m. when an adult male walked up to the bank and demanded money. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running away on foot. Moments later, at 3:30 p.m., Meridian Police were called to a robbery of the Idaho Central Credit Union at 1315 S. Celebration Avenue. An adult male wearing a green Cabelas hat, a blue puffy jacket pulled up around his face, hiking boots, and sunglasses. The robber handed a note to the teller advising that it was a robbery. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was seen. Anyone with information should contact Boise Police Crimestoppers at 208-343-COPS or Meridian Police at 208-888-6678.
