Idaho legislators get married to each other

Two Idaho legislators are newlyweds.

The Idaho Press-Tribune reports House Majority leader Mike Moyle, R-Star, recently married Janet Trujillo, R-Idaho Falls.

Trujillo will soon begin her third term in office.

Moyle said Trujillo still has her apartment in Idaho Falls and works for the county. The couple said their marriage won’t affect anything in the Legislature for now.

Trujillo told the newspaper, “It’s not going to be any different than what it has been.”

House Speaker Scott Bedke said he doesn’t feel there are any ethical issues and feels the couple will be able to keep their personal and professional lives separate.

The couple filed for a marriage license last week in Gem County.
