Christmas Day Forecast 2016

Blizzard like conditions for the rest of Christmas day with gusty winds. Another 3-5″ of new snowfall, however it maybe very difficult to get an accurate measurement with blowing and drifting snow showers . Tonight, scattered snow before midnight, clearing skies into Monday morning with dropping temperatures. 15-25 mph., winds with gusts around 30mph. Monday, with the exception of a stray snow shower near the WY/ID state line, count on partly cloudy to mostly clear skies across the region. There is a chance of some fog in some mountain valleys, but it won’t be overly widespread. Highs in the teens and 20’s. Tuesday, another storm moves in from the NW bringing snow showers by noon in the central mountains and scattered showers to everyone else by the late afternoon. Highs in the 20’s with winds picking up in the afternoon hours.
