Idaho Falls designates Christmas Tree disposal sites

The holiday isn’t quite here yet but the City of Idaho Falls has announced plans for where citizens can take their Christmas Trees for disposal after the holiday ends.

Starting Monday citizens of Idaho Falls can take their tree to one of the following 17 locations to dispose of it. Ornaments and lights need to be removed before dumping the trees. The service is only for residents of Idaho Falls and not to be used by tree lots disposing of unsold trees.

The tree disposal site will be available until January 30th. Residents are asked to use these sites rather than putting the tree in with their normal trash or taking the tree directly to the Bonneville County Transfer Station.

The disposal locations are as follows:

Washburn & Michael (Reinhart Park) Grandview & Foote Drive Coachman & Broadway (behind car wash) Fremont Avenue (by recycling bin north of Science Center) Mound & W. Elva Street (Melaleuca Field parking lot) N. Water & Chestnut (NE corner) W. 13th & Placer 10th & Emerson 17th & Emerson S. Boulevard & Rogers Street Bennett & Waid Cleveland & Fanning (SW corner) Sunnyside Park (by Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center – SE corner) South of 1st Street (west side of Meppen) Sykes & Davidson Ashment & 12th Street Russet & Lincoln
